The Co-Creation Center was set up in Regensburg in just one week - a special room in which future customers can clearly define their needs for products together with representatives from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen and work together on solutions. The Co-Creation Center is a globally unique development workshop in which Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen will work on the future of energy networks together with customers, partners and MR experts.

The central eye-catcher in the future laboratory is a transformer in almost original size with six touch monitors on which various applications are demonstrated. Equipped with a fully functional ETOS® system, intelligent MSENSE® sensors, fans and bushings, the monitoring, control, regulation and digitization of power transformers can be clearly displayed. Spatially, the transformer is separated from the rest of the Co-Creation Center by a blue backlit curtain that can be opened electrically as soon as a visitor enters the area.

At the beginning of the presentation, the lighting mood changes from blue to white. The room also offers a large co-working area for 12 people and a large number of smaller work stations for four to eight people. In the creative atmosphere of the co-working space, innovative solution concepts for the digitization of energy technology are created through the interplay of design thinking and agile work.

Due to COVID 19, the Co-Creation Center was initially only opened virtually on the website of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen. For the time being, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen is using the Co-Creation Center as a film studio for live digital sessions with customers from all over the world. In the future, the Co-Creation Center will serve as a joint development workshop with intensive involvement of customers and partners in order to identify their challenges along the value chain and to find joint solutions. The premises can also be used as an innovation lab for other business areas and for internal training.
