Rehm Thermal Systems GmbH
productronica, Munich
Rehm Thermal Systems has been producing energy-efficient manufacturing equipment for the electronics and photovoltaic industries since 1990 as a manufacturer of reflow soldering systems with convection or condensation, as well as drying and coating systems.
In 2017, BRUNS designed a new booth design for the company, which has since been further developed multiple times.
The booth symbolizes a play with contrasts on 280 m2: wooden elements stand next to solid concrete, a fresh color scheme in blue and green defies plain gray, and a multimedia presentation area gives visitors a glimpse into the manufacturing of tomorrow.
The idea combines a variety of exhibits, the theme of tradition, and the next generation with state-of-the-art communication technology in one area. Despite the clear separation of the space zones through colors and materials the modern look reconnects the areas with each other.
A central feature is the semicircle: The thematic layers of the Rehm booth are arranged radially. In the center, the core values of the company are manifested on the logo pylon designed to resemble concrete. On the back, the area for Rehm's visions forms the next layer with a Virtual Reality installation.
The next layer follows with information and exhibits. The final layer represents communication. Above the layer of information is an inviting crescent, where the colors of the various product areas blend together. The concave structure of the crescent creates an inviting pull for the visitor towards the interior of the booth. The combination of innovative architecture, lighting design, and materials completes the overall appearance.
